Girls entering grades 5 through 8 this fall will want to be a part of the Buehler Challenger & Science Center's Rocket Girl Space Camp!

Rocket Girls is designed to positively influence girls in the fields of mathematics, science and technology.  Our camp trains girls to become risk takers and expand their horizons.  Our camp encourages girls to think "why not me?" when it comes to careers involving mathematics, engineering and technology.

Like astronauts in training, girls will learn about living and working in space, the forces of flight and women in space history.  Girls will build several rockets, participate in an egg drop challenge and a water balloon challenge.  Just imagine acting as a Mission Controller or an Astronaut while flying simulated missions: Return to the Moon, Rendezvous with Comet Halley and Voyage to Mars in our simulators.

Funding for this program made possible by the New Jersey Space Grant Consortium, piloted in 2006.
